Placed just beyond the outskirts of the city to the north, with a shuttle service provided free to and from the city, the New Hearth Airport is the first and foremost portal to the Region. Flights are constantly arriving and leaving, keeping Slate connected to the world at large by a constant influx of new trainers, new residents and, perhaps equally importantly, a constant flow of tourists and tourist dollars.
The airport itself is largely typical - each airline maintains a few separate baggage checks according to how many plains they intend to be moving through the airport at any one time. Once you get past the baggage check and Customs, the terminal itself is well stocked with the sort of pricey tourist paraphernalia you'd expect. It also features a selection of Slate's restaraunt chains, for your dining pleasure, including Hertz, a techno-themed lunch joint quite popular among teens and young adults.
