The ground floor of the PLSR (Pokemon League of Slate Region) Office Building in New Hearth contains the Region's League Registry Offices, which is where a prospective Trainer comes to fill out their Registry form and be granted their Trainer card, Pokedex, and Pokegear, as well as their starting package and, if they don't already have one, a Pokemon to begin their journey with.
The building exterior is a metallic silver from the tinted windows, and looks similar to all the other buildings around it. Inside, it can be easily described in one word: sleek. White walls that seem to shine as if polished, and a mahogany-colored marble floor greet the new entrant. A dark red carpet leads to the Registry... screens?
Yes, the League has managed to completely automate the registration process through a series of touch screens set in the wall. The screens change fields as the user fills them in with the provided stylus, finally giving a choice of starting Pokemon, with an option for "Already Have One" available - jokers beware, if you pick Already Have One without a Pokemon, you have to go ask one of the ground-floor secretaries to manually override the setting and get you your Pokemon, and they tend to get very annoyed by that.
Once you've filled everything in, your Trainer Card (with a bank account already set up for you and 1000 Ryals in it), your Pokegear, your starting gear in a backpack and your starting Pokemon (if you requested one) will be found in a slot underneath, put there bymysterious forces mysterious vacuum tubes.
After that, congratulations, you're on your way!
Also in the lobby is a small Trainer cafe, intended as a way for newbies to meet with old hands or just as a hang out. However, most trainers tend to prefer the other cafes available throughout the city.
